Dr. Tanya Pandya is a Board Certified Family Physician. She finished her Family Medicine training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She was born in New Delhi, India and lived there for eleven years. She then moved to Bangkok, Thailand for two years with her family where she finished middle school and fell in love with the country, its culture, and its food! Her family then moved to Georgia where Dr. Pandya attended Duluth High School and started her pursuit towards becoming a physician. Her dream was to attend Emory University for her undergraduate education and she was accepted under their early decision program. Dr. Pandya became aware of Doctor of Osteopathic medicine during her Junior year of college and was fascinated by the holistic approach of Osteopathic education. She attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri where she gained tremendous knowledge and experience. Dr. Pandya’s hunger for knowledge did not end there as she pursued a Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Health Care Leadership at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, concurrently with her medical school.
Dr. Pandya’s passions are patient education, preventive medicine, and teaching. Her keen medical interests are Obesity, Diabetes, Hypertension, High Cholesterol and Preventive Medicine. She believes that most of our medical efforts should be geared towards PREVENTING health problems which is a lot more fruitful rather than taking a lot of pills!
Dr. Pandya practiced for 5 years in the Johns Creek community, but is currently taking a sabbatical to spend some quality time with her family. Dr. Pandya works at Wellstreet Urgent Care a few days out the the month to provide acute care to patients.
Dr. Pandya is affiliated with Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Northside Hospital and North Fulton Hospital. She currently serves as the Chair of Family Medicine in Emory Johns Creek and sits on the Medical Executive Committee.
